About Husaberg

Husaberg was founded in 1988 by a group of engineers who left Husqvarna after its sale to Cagiva. Their goal was to build the ultimate four-stroke enduro bike. Operating out of a small woodshed in Sweden, they succeeded in creating machines that were lighter and more agile than anything else on the market. Husaberg’s "Ready to Race" philosophy eventually caught the attention of KTM, who acquired the brand in 1995, using it as a laboratory for high-end technical experimentation.

The most famous technical innovation from Husaberg was the 70-degree slanted engine introduced in 2009. By tilting the cylinder forward and placing the crankshaft higher and closer to the bike’s center of gravity, Husaberg achieved a level of handling agility previously thought impossible for a 450cc or 570cc four-stroke. While the brand was eventually merged back into Husqvarna by KTM, its technical legacy lives on. This database provides the full specs for the Husaberg era, detailing the engine displacements, specialized chassis geometries, and the ultra-lightweight dry weights that made them legends in the enduro world.
