Founded in 1985 in Salt, Spain, GASGAS began as a specialist trials brand and quickly rose to dominate the world stage with legends like Jordi Tarrés and Adam Raga. The name "Gas Gas" literally translates to "to give it gas," reflecting the brand’s high-energy racing spirit. In 2019, the brand became part of the Pierer Mobility Group (KTM), which saw a massive expansion of its technical capabilities, bringing a vibrant "red" alternative to the motocross and enduro markets alongside KTM and Husqvarna.
